No one is bullet proof. Last month I had a slip. I felt shameful and embarrassed but I didn’t let that one mistake keep me down and spiral into a full relapse. It opened my eyes that I was getting too complacent with my sobriety and reminded me of why I became sober in the first place. Slips and relapses are all apart of sobriety, it’s all about how you deal with it when or if it happens. You can either let it keep you down or lift you up; for me it was more motivation to push forward in pursuing my goals.
